I'm a twenty-something mother of two working a full time job. I feel like I haven't been able to put my health and wellness a priority in my life for quite a while. My plan is to change that. I need a new and improved healthier lifestyle. That's why I decided to become a pescatarian.
Pescatarianism is basically a vegetarian that also eats fish and shellfish. I have no moral obligation to to not eat red meat, poultry, and pork, I just don't think it's the healthiest way to nourish the body. I read an article on the Internet a while ago that really spoke to me. It said that if we were truly meant to be carnivores we would have sharp teeth, not flat, and that we wouldn't need to cook our meat in order for it to be appetizing and not make us sick. Fish is the exception. Healthy non-polluted fish and shellfish can be consummed without detrimental effects.
I'm using this blog as a way to save recipes that I try and love, link articles that help motivate me, and track my progress. Not only am I making a change in my diet but I also plan on having a healthier 360 degree life. That includes a healthier and more organized home, mental health, family life, and physical health. I'm really good at sticking to my goals for about a week so this project is going to take a lot of motivation and gumption!
